Phillip D. Magidson, MD, MPH, FACEP, FACP, FAAEM is an assistant professor at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and the associate clinical director and director of observation and geriatric emergency medicine in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. Dr. Magidson completed medical school at George Washington Unviersity where he discovered his intersecting interests in emergecy and geriatric medicine. He completed a combined emergency medicine/internal medicine residency at the University of Maryland in Baltimore, MD followed by a geriatric fellowship at Johns Hopkins Bayview. Dr. Magidson spends the majority of his clinical time in the emergency department, championing the care of older adults, although also attends on the inpatient medicine wards and the inpatient geriatric consultation team.
Dr. Magidson and his wife reside in the Canton neighborhood of Baltimore. When not working, Dr. Magidson enjoys running, trying new local resturants and cheering on the Baltimore Orioles.
