Dr. Arthur Pope is a graduate of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign where he received his B.S. in Chemistry in 2005. In 2009 he completed his PhD in Biomedical Sciences with a focus in Physiology. He completed postdoctoral fellowships at the National Institutes of Health and The Ohio State University between 2009-2012. In 2012 after years of contemplating going to medical school, he began that journey entering a postbac program at Georgetown. He went on to complete his medical degree at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in 2018. He completed his residency training in 2021 at the University of Chicago where he served as Chief Resident. Additionally, during his time in residency he served as the Vice Chair Diversity and Inclusion Committee of the Emergency Medicine Residents Association. Arthur currently is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine. At Penn he has created a URiM professional development and mentoring program for the URiM EM residents.
