Wait, what do we do now? The guidance is constantly changing as CT imaging improves and extends our window of evaluation of SAH without reflexive LP. What is a reasonable approach now? And further, how do we approach the now-well-appearing patient who is outside the recommended CT window, and whose HPI was convincing for the work-up—what risk/benefit should be considered before considering an LP? How do we interpret this LP, and what do we do with it now? Get ready for a great discussion on an ever-evolving area of practice in our specialty!
