Dr. Loren Touma is a third year Emergency Medicine resident and incoming chief resident at Jefferson Health Northeast. Dr. Touma received her degree from William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Touma will be starting her second year serving on the AAEM RSA Board of Directors and is completing her year as Pennsylvania College of Emergency Physicians resident board representative. She has held various leadership roles such as Student Government Association President in medical school, chapter founder and member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society, and Omega Beta Iota National Osteopathic Political Honor Society. She has previously been awarded student doctor of the year and the President’s Award during medical school which honors one student based on their scholarship, leadership, integrity, humanity, and loyalty to the profession. Dr. Touma's current and future interests include: health disparities in medicine, emergency department operations, and resident education.
