Dr Wood is an experienced attorney, physician, and past President of AAEM with extensive speaking experience. He is the editor/author of 2 editions of "Key Contract Issues for Emergency Physicians," published by EMRA. In his legal career Dr. Wood was an adjunct professor at Northern Illinois University college of law. Dr. Wood has litigated sexual harassment and retaliation cases in state and federal court. His main focus has been advocating for rights of physicians to due process and medical staff issues. He is an emeritus faculty member of Mayo Clinic and a core faculty for the Abrazo Healthcare EM residency. He is an active member/adviser of the AAEM Legal Committee.
