Elias Wan, MD FAAEM is a board-certified Emergency Medicine and Critical Care physician. He completed his Emergency Medicine Residency at Icahn School of Medicine – Beth Israel in Manhattan and Internal Medicine Critical Care Fellowship at Albert Einstein School of Medicine - Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, New York where he also served as the Chief Academic Fellow. Dr. Wan staffs the Cardiothoracic ICU at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn while also serving as a Clinical Assistant Professor and the Critical Care Track director for the EM residency at Maimonides. Dr. Wan previously served as a MDCalc Fellow and previous Councilor and Finance/Secretary Chair for the Critical Care Medicine Section at AAEM and currently serves as the Chair-elect for the Critical Care Medicine Section at AAEM. He has lectured at fellowships and residency grand rounds and led small group clinics on LVAD and Bronchoscopy at AAEM 2021 and 2021 SA. He is passionate about ECMO, LVAD and resuscitation, especially in regards to the dynamic care in post cardiac patients and hemodynamic management for critically ill patients. He spends his spare time testing culinary treats for his two picky daughters.
