I can't have mental health concern on my record-- I could lose my license. Physicians believe that. We tell each other that. We die at our own hands more than the general population because of that. But is it true? Do all states have mental health questions on their licensure application? How do I find out exactly what it says? In 2018, the Federation of State Medical Board made a series of recommendations regarding mental health questions on licensure applications-- and many states have changed. Some states do not have any mental health questions. This session will give a rapid overview of the changing map regarding mental health questions and state licensure.

Summarize the 2018 recommendations from the Federation of State Medical Boards regarding state licensure language around mental health questions.
Describe the categories of licensure language regarding mental health questions which states currently employee.
