Over the past decade, the annual hours of critical care and resuscitation delivered by emergency physicians has markedly increased. It is during these early hours of illness and resuscitation, when the patient is in the emergency department, when lives can be saved...or lost. In this lecture, the speakers will discuss key articles from the 2022 resuscitation and critical care literature that pertain to the care of select critically ill emergency department patients.
Learning Objectives:
Identify key articles from the 2022 resuscitation and critical care literature that pertain to the care of acutely ill emergency department patients.
Discuss the incorporation of information discussed in this lecture into the resuscitation of select critical conditions in the emergency department.
