This session will review shoulder and hip reduction methods with an emphasis on techniques that do not require you to be built like an NFL linebacker to accomplish. Additional focus on techniques that can be performed with little to no sedation.

Learning Objectives:

  • Review how to review radiographs to ensure that shoulder and hip dislocations are not missed on initial films.
  • Review shoulder reduction techniques that can be done by a single provider.
  • Review hip reduction techniques with an emphasis on safe practice to prevent injuries to medical personal.
