The speaker will highlight the key elements of the new documentation guidelines, which value the cognitive work performed, population health, and social determinants of health. This is the most significant change in guidelines since 1995.
Learning Objectives:
For the first time in 28 years, we have new documentation guidelines that value the cognitive work performed and are more aligned with our clinical practice.
There is a heightened awareness of joint shared decision making, including labs, testing, and disposition.
Social Determinants of Health and health equity, are acknowledged in these guidelines and can influence national health policy.
